Join us at our WPRCA Holiday Party
on December 15

CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE OF THE WORLD!

PRESENTED BY: PAUL GRAND PRE

SAVE THE CHILDREN is one of the leading non-profit organizations fighting poverty and hunger in 120 countries worldwide and 17 states in the U.S. It recognizes that health, education and economic opportunities are the foundations for a better life and its mission is to seek breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and to seek immediate and lasting change in their lives.  Save the Children is one of Forbes 200 largest U.S. charities.  Many prominent actors and musicians are involved with the work of Save the Children and the Board is a cross-section of prominent leaders from business, education, media and other fields.  As counselors, it is important for us to be aware of organizations that address the needs of those less fortunate and to recognize the non-profit sector as an important part of the fabric of society and the opportunities that can be provided to students seeking careers in the non-profit and humanitarian fields.

Paul Grand Pre, our speaker, is the Senior Director of Board Relations and is responsible for Board communications,, relations and cultivation.  He also oversees Save the Children’s volunteer engagement programs.  He joined Save the Children after a successful career at Concordia College in Bronxville as Vice President for Institutional Advancement where he was in charge of development, external relations and marketing and public relations. Prior to that, he served on Wall Street for over 20 years in mergers and acquisitions, debt restructuring and strategic advisory services.  At UBS Paine Webber, he founded the mergers & acquisitions advisory practice in the Non-Profit Healthcare Group, working with health care systems, physician practices and HMOs.  He earned a BA in Economics from Bowdoin College and received an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where he was an Edward Tuck Scholar.  Paul continues to serve his alma mater as a volunteer for Bowdoin’s alumni interviewing network and as a fundraiser for his class reunions and annual giving.
